So he did. On Tuesday a client he was supposed to be doing a festival for the weekend, informed him they were going to have to cancel the event due to no one else having capacity. Neil said give him a few hours he would see what he could do.
With 3 days insurance, plain hi-vis's and some radios borrowed from the old company, Neil took a team on belief that this would be a one time deal.
More of Neil's old clients decided they wanted SCE's services and we grew into the company today.
Pay is based on job role, training and shift specifics. However in 2026-27 minimum wages are £13.13 for stewards and £14.78 for SIA roles.
Payroll runs from all shifts that are scheduled to complete from 00:00 on the 5th of the previous month to 23:59 on the 4th of the month. Payments are made on 8th of the month. So all shifts scheduled to be completed after midnight 5th January to one second 4th February will be paid on 8th February.
Then that is our problem. But you will still be paid.
This is job specific. Everyone must have a main contract. You will not be allowed to claim for this specific contract.
A white shirt, black trousers and a black pair of shoes. SCE provides everything else, we also sell decent quality white shirts, trousers and shoes for £45.00
No articles outside the uniform policy. All items SCE provides must be worn. Lost uniform must be replaced at your cost. Ripped uniform will be replaced free, items you have grown out of will be swapped free of charge. If you have an item that we asked you to supply and it is ripped the company will replace it.
Before your first shift we have a number of videos to watch, staff induction, roles and responsibilities, staff conduct, systems and uniform. You will also need to do your Action Counters Terrorism. However we will sort all these out for you.
All staff must complete, Spectator Safety level 2, Conflict Management level 2, ScAN and Emergency First Aid at Work. SIA's also must do Welfare and Vulnerability Engagement and Level 2 Event Security Operations (can be done with Spectator Safety 2 and only a few addons to the ESO).
